“I hope it’s their names we speak.”

As I said before, this is a time to solemnly mark the closure of something horrific and move forward to a future built on collective growth, peace, and understanding. In the grand scheme of things, Osama bin Laden’s death means little compared to the deaths of his victims, both American and foreign. What sets them apart is the value we attribute their memory, the ability to show respect for life that bin Laden never expressed, and the will to move on to creating a better world. That was what I was trying to say, and, as usual someone else does it much more eloquently than I ever could have.
